Freeland Lights brightens the holiday season while raising funds for local nonprofits
FREELAND, MI – Tis the season for holiday decorations to brighten up the cold December nights – the annual Freeland Lights Christmas Musical Light Show is back.
The 2024 Freeland light show is set to start Friday November 29th at 6:00 AM. This year in addition to the normal evening shows (5:30-10:20 PM).
Every year, the Shepard family brings this dazzling holiday display featuring thousands of lights synchronized to music to Hayes Park, 9200 Midland Road in Freeland.
The 15-minute show runs continuously from 5:30 p.m.
until approximately 10:20 p.m. every night through Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve. Tune in to 93.9 FM from your vehicle to hear the accompanying music.
The Freeland Lights Show is back for the 2023 holiday season, illuminating Saginaw County's Hayes Park with thousands of colorful Christmas lights set to.Admission is free, but visitors are encouraged to make a contribution at the donation stations located in the park. This year, 100% of donations will support the CAN Council and Saginaw-Shiawassee Habitat for Humanity, according to a CAN Council news release.
“This is our way of sharing holiday joy and making a meaningful impact,” Gary Shepard said in a statement.
Since its debut, Freeland Lights has raised more than $100,000 for local causes.
